Professor Conley delivers a presentation called Design at the Nexus of Semiotics and Intellectual Property to students of design and engineering at Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering.
In July 2009 Professor Conley was reappointed as member of the USPTO. On August 11, 2008, Clinical Professor James Conley accepted an invitation from the Secretary of Commerce, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to become a member of the Trademark Public Advisory Committee (TPAC) in Washington, D.C.
